What age should my child start guitar or ukulele lessons?
Many students begin guitar or ukulele lessons around ages 6–8, though we also work with older beginners, teens, and adult students. Lessons are tailored to each student’s age, experience level, and goals.
Do I need to have an instrument before starting lessons?
Yes, students should have access to a guitar or ukulele for practice at home. If you need help choosing an instrument, we are happy to recommend quality beginner options.

Do you teach both acoustic and electric guitar?
Yes. We offer instruction in acoustic, electric, and beginner-friendly ukulele lessons. Students may explore a variety of musical styles based on their interests.
How often should students practice?
Consistent practice is important for steady progress. Beginners often start with 10–15 minutes a day, gradually increasing as their skills and confidence grow.
Can students learn songs they enjoy?
Absolutely. Along with developing strong fundamentals and technique, we encourage students to learn music they enjoy to help keep lessons engaging and motivating.
Are recitals required?
Recitals are encouraged but not required. They provide students with a valuable opportunity to build confidence and share their progress in a supportive environment.
