Alina Sutterlin studied piano performance and pedagogy at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. In Klaipeda, Lithuania, she worked as a piano teacher for six years at E. Balsys music school, a school for gifted children. Since 1997, she has been teaching piano privately in the U.S.
Alina’s piano teaching style includes a combination of traditional Russian piano method along with American piano teaching. She is patient and knows how to make the learning process easy and enjoyable, yet her teaching is still very professional. She works hard to bring out the best of her students’ talents and abilities. Alina's students have the opportunity to participate in recitals, festivals and competitions, as well as AIM and RCM annual exams.
