Jaroslaw Golembiowski

Jaroslaw Golembiowski is the founder and president of the Chicago Chopin Society, a vital organization that has played a crucial role in promoting the music of Chopin and other Polish and American composers in the United States. He received a degree of Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Composition from the Fryderyk Chopin University in Warsaw, as well as a Master's of Arts degree Master’s in Composition, Musical Theory, and Conducting; and a second Master’s degree in Music Education from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music, Wrocław, Poland.
For over 40 years, he serves Chicago area community as a composer, soloist, and ensemble pianist, as well as a conductor, lecturer, concert organizer, and teacher. He serves frequently on musical competition juries.
A composer of over 300 works, many of which are dedicated to honoring Polish heritage. In recognition of his unwavering dedication to promoting of Polish culture n 2016, he was recognized as the Outstanding Pole Abroad in the Culture Division by the Poland Now Foundation. In 2017, he was honored with the American Council for Polish Culture (ACPC) Achievement Award.
Golembiowski's music has been heard throughout the United States, Canada, Poland, Russia, China, Mexico, and Cuba. As a pianist, he regularly performs the music of Chopin and Paderewski, as well as his own original works. In 2018, he showcased his talents as both a composer and performer with the release of his fifth CD, "Adoration," featuring violinist Krzysztof Zimowski.

“Strings and Keys” celebrates Polish Constitution Day and features acclaimed keyboard soloist David Schrader performing Mozart Piano Concerto No 12. It opens with student performers from the Chicago Area Music Teachers Association and concludes with a world premiere by composer Jaroslaw Golembiowski.
