Trey Tillotson

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Trey Tillotson is a performer, composer, and educator. As a graduate from the Wheaton College Conservatory, Tillotson is currently a member of the Wheaton Municipal Band and The Naperville Winds.
In 2023, Tillotson won the Wheaton College Concerto Competition and Ben Heppner Prize, performing the first and third movements from Geraldine Green's Bass Clarinet Concerto. In 2024, he was named a Presser Scholar through Wheaton College and the Presser Foundation. Tillotson has experience performing solo, chamber, theater, opera, jazz, band, orchestral, and choral music.
As a composer, Tillotson's pieces have been performed by members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Wheaton College Men's Glee Club, The _____ Experiment, and the Wheaton College Symphonic Band. Additionally, he had works featured at the Pittsburgh Symphony Association Salon Event in 2019, the Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra Gala in 2021, and the Wheaton College Christmas Festival in 2023. In 2023, Tillotson was a Composition Fellow at the Brevard Summer Music Festival. He is currently registered with ASCAP and is a member of the Millenium Composers Initiative and New Music Chicago.
His teaching philosophy includes meeting students where they are and pushing them to their musical goals.
